It seems a common thread in doodle sessions is to think back to college projects and illustrations. This fella was part of an A2 fantasy painting. This time, with all the lecturer's recommendations in shading and contrast... and a dash of practice ;)

College Revisited part II

CalebIllustration, second year had us creating a comic-book character and do a first edition cover. My villainous sorcerer called "Caleb" not only made the cover, but also won the title of the series.

Fantasy, fantasy, fantasy...Will I grow up? I hope not.

Wyrm

Wyrm on an SThis is a prime example of my doodle history, with solid roots in fantasy illustration. I may have grown out of fantasy a touch, but to this day find myself fiddling with creatures that don't exist.

They are particularly challenging and easy at the same time - challenging for not having anything to base them on, but no one can say the proportions are wrong, as they've never seen one either.

The time this one was drawn, probably has more significance to me than anything else though.
