It's what I do

Real RHCE*

Real RHCEHi, and welcome to the first post of a brand new column I've dubbed "Doodle of the Week".
I'm starting it off with a doodle that actually evolved into proper artwork(s).

This doodle was modelled on my work PC called "St3pmom" (it's a long story). The aim - a server who loves you (ain't that just sweet?). The doodle right next to this one (didn't quite make the cut tho) thinks "I wish I was a Mac".. A little too realistic for the feeling I was going for ;)

Real RHCE

The first application this doodle ended up being used in was on a promotional mug for the Obsidian training division, promoting the Red Hat certifications.

It all formed part of a larger "Real RHCE! Your server will know the difference" campaign.

I've liked the rounded corners of the retro-look in this application enough to reuse the approach in a presentation aimed at Nando's, but with a more cartoony approach.

Life should contain more cartoons, I think.

Update: I do so love computers - I just can't stop drawing them. Here's the latest in doodly goodness. :)

The Little Typeface that couldn't

Some of you that know me, has heard me rant about it - some of you, even non-designers, has complained about it...

The good news is; We're not alone!
