The Cobbler's Brother
The cobbler's son might have no shoes, but the youngest can live on hand-me-downs. ÜberEllis.com presents a new theme (yet to be named, see below):
Yeah, I know - not exactly the best theme for a blog.. I've developed this theme for SWiTCH WebStart.
The theme utilizes the color.module, that comes with core of drupal 5 (Seen in the likes of "Garland" and "Minelli"). The aim is to speed up the design process for new clients. This way, implementation of functionality and "theming" can run concurrently for rapid deployment. :)
Here are screenshots of some of the presets in Unnamed.Theme:
The concept of Color.module is quite ingenius. It uses a simple php file to render some areas of solid colour and a gradient fill. Overlayed with a transparent .png file to make a composite, which is then sliced to create the images needed for the theme.
Despite a couple of limitations (I'm assured color.module 2 will eradicate these), it can be planned well, and certainly is a whole lot of fun to play with.
Presenting: überWeiss 2 - A qub based theme
By popular demand - the next release of UberWeiss - A new base theme for drupal.
This release has a far more condensed style (a little better planned). Also now supports secondary link action and a header block area.
If you base a theme on this one, please leave the credit at the bottom of the page.
Ever read an article..
...that had you nodding in agreement all the way through?
From the pen of Seth Godin, "How to live happily with a great designer".
Presenting "überWeiss" - a qüb project theme
For as long as I've been in web development have I wanted to make a mostly white site. In reality, this is the latest edition in the qüb project, the bare-bones starting point edition.

A screenshot for posterity, for from here I intend add the sparkly slowly but surely, and hopefully document the "Getting the most from your qüb theme" section for this site. Also hopefully implememting the necessary changes to support drupal 4.7, cck and views (these will soon be standard on all new sites, I can gaurentee that).
Update: überWeiss theme now available for download.
Project: Nando's Franchise Waiting List Application
Nando's approached Obsidian to automate a large section of the Nando's Franchise application.

The previous solution worked better than expected, with over 30 new applicants monthly from the site alone. Today, the upgraded system with additional filters and way more features goes live to a staging server for client review. For ÜberEllis fans, a sneak preview:

Project: BHF site migration
The Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) site migration starts today. You can monitor the progress here.
Project: Amathole Football Club
The first (apart from ÜberEllis of course...) website going live (soon...watch this space) theme development based on Project qüb
Project qüb: Alpha Release
While we wait for CVS approval from the guys at Drupal, get the theme-previously-known-as-grey-box-extreme (It's come to my attention that the name might cause confusion for some support) here.
Try it out and let me know of feature requests/suggestions by commenting here. I'm also open for suggestions for a new name :)
qüb phase 2 Starting
The qüb theme has been live on ÜberEllis.com for roughly two or three weeks now, and feedback is scarce.
The next necessary step in my opinion is to get a generic version ready and also to create an offline Drupal installation with the necessary content to create the screenshots required. That starts this afternoon.
I've applied for a CVS account today...here's hoping I get approved :)
